Elissa Knight, LICSW

My journey in the mental health field began with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, where I had the privilege of serving others and learning firsthand the importance of compassion and community. I continue to carry the program’s values of social justice, simplicity, and community into both my practice and my personal life.

I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Washington and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Western Washington University. Since 2001, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health, education, and hospital-based social work, and I have been in private practice since 2012.

I’m passionate about this work because I know from experience that therapy can help people feel better and build meaningful change. I also understand that starting therapy can feel both relieving and a little intimidating. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can show up as your authentic self. Together, we’ll have honest conversations (with a touch of humor) and explore the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be keeping you stuck—so you can move toward the life you want to have.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy coffee with friends, exploring new hobbies, working on a crafting or knitting project, or exploring with my husband and our two kids. I love learning new things and seeking out adventures.

My dog, Monty,
may make an appearance during telehealth appointments.
